David Teague and Kenneth Lowe each scored 17 for Purdue to lift Purdue (R: 4-5 SU, 5-4 ATS) to a 71-56 win over Indiana on Saturday. Freshman Ije Nwankwo had a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds, Nwankwo went 13 for 14 from the free-throw line and got Indiana's post players into foul trouble early in the game. Purdue (16-8, 6-5 Big Ten), took control early, getting Indiana in foul trouble with an aggressive inside game. The Spartans (13-9, 8-3 Big Ten) played one of their worst first halves but held the Golden Gophers to just 19 points in the last 20 minutes, and Michigan State was able to escape with a 69-58 win Saturday. Chris Hill had a game-high 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Purdue won the first meeting three weeks ago, when Purdue took control in overtime to rally for a 76-70 victory. Kenneth Lowe led Purdue with 18 points and Buscher added a season-high 17 off the bench on 7-of-11 shooting to go with eight boards. The Boilermakers took excellent care of the ball with only eight turnovers. For the Spartans, Paul Davis fouled out with 18 points and Indiana native Chris Hill also contributed 18 and had six assists. Both teams are playing well and coming off wins. Look for the bigger Boilermakers to get their way in a season sweep!!!
5 Units Louisville -12.5 -103
Both teams come off tough losses over the weekend. Louisville (R: 5-2 SU, 3-4 ATS) lost on Friday to UNC-Charlotte 77-71 when the Cardinals' defense faltered after halftime, allowing the 49ers to shoot 58 percent (15-of-26). Louisville also was beaten on the glass, 43-36. Nate Daniels scored all of his 11 points in the first 10 minutes as Louisville used a 12-0 tear for a 24-15 lead with 10:36 to go before halftime. The Cardinals were a sizzling 7-of-12 from the arc at the half. Leading scorer Francisco Garcia fouled out with only nine points. A last second shot led Tulane to a 67-66 victory over TCU Saturday night. TCU (H: 6-8 SU, 2-9 ATS) was led by Corey Santee, who scored 19 points to go with eight rebounds and six assists. However, Santee did not score over the final 12:25 of the game. Nucleus Smith added 12 points and Marcus Shropshire had 10. Both teams come off losses but TCU will be undermanned for this one against what should be a nasty flock of Cardinals.
7 Units Florida -3.5 -102
Even though their star Rashad Wright (14 ppg) shot only 1 for 14 from the field on a dinged wheel, Georgia (12-10 SU, 9-9 ATS) still got past Kentucky again 74-68 SU. Now Georgia stays at Home to get Florida. Florida (14-7 SU, 10-7 ATS) is coming off a heart wrenching Home loss to LSU 73-70 SU. Tourney presence is very much in doubt for Florida. Georgia is great at Home (11-3 SU), averaging 71 points a game. Florida is allowing 71 points a game on the Road, which explains why they are just 4-3 SU on the Road. Rashad Wright’s ankle is still in doubt after that dismal shooting performance on Saturday. He has to play better and healthier against Florida. Florida posts far more points than Kentucky’s style of game (79 ppg on the Road). Florida is in a must win situation and should get Georgia a little flat after their emotional win against UK.
